《園丁》講述了埃爾默和他控制欲極強(qiáng)的母親拉希納·茹拉多的故事。茹拉多經(jīng)營(yíng)著一個(gè)花園中心，背后隱藏著另一項(xiàng)蓬勃發(fā)展的地下雇傭謀殺生意。殺人對(duì)埃爾默來(lái)說(shuō)輕而易舉，一場(chǎng)事故讓他變得麻木不仁。然而，在策劃謀殺迷人的幼兒園老師維奧萊特時(shí)，他愛(ài)上了對(duì)方。埃爾默必須學(xué)會(huì)愛(ài)，而他的母親則想盡一切辦法結(jié)束維奧萊特的生命。
